General policy

Animal welfare is a key component of a sustainable supply chain. Ethical aspect are always taken into account when choosing manufacturers of animal fibers. This includes aspects such as traceability, sustainability, safety, animal well-being as well as labour and farm conditions.

The origin of animal fibers shall always be authenticated. We shall not purchase leather, skins of animal fibers from areas known for bad farming practices or for transporting animals under unacceptable conditions. Farms shall follow requirements based on the UK Animal Welfare Council’s definitions on appropriate husbandry.

We do not accept the practice of animal testing. All manufacturers are required to follow EU Directive 2010/63/EU on the protection of animals used for scientific purposes.
